I have always wanted to play a music festival and Stompkee Fest has made this dream come true.  It takes place at 3719 Suydam Road, Earlville, IL 60518 which is about an hour out of Chicago I believe.  The campsite is over 100 acres so there is plenty of space to get into as much trouble as you want.  It takes place from August 19-21.

There will be 4 stages there and Kool Keith is headlining the Hip Hop stage.  So here’s what I would love to see happen.  I would love for you to want to share in this experience with us.  If you’re local to the Detroit area perhaps we can all caravan down together.  If you’re somewhere else we can just meet at the camp site but it’d be cool to set up tents together.  We got presale tix for $30 or you can buy tickets online.

I went camping for the first time at the beginning of the summer and fell in love.  This would be a great time to catch up with old friends and if you just know us through the music this would be a great time to get to know us better.  Conversely, this is a great time for us to get to know you better.  Trust me when I say I am just as interested in knowing about the people that listen to the music we make as people might be interested to know about us.  If you are interested in attending with us all you gotta do is email me at d (at) progressreportmusic (dot) com and we’ll coordinate like John Witherspoon in Boomerang.  Bang!
