Please join us Saturday night, August 18th at Division Gallery in Eastern Market. I will be releasing my new instrumental project, Fish & Chips as part of the Head Nod Suite monthly event showcasing the talents of various producers and DJs. I will be performing a live beat set with some special guests, including Angelica Moross on keyboards. Sounds will be provided by DJ 2040 and Mel Wonder along with another live beat set by Ancient Language (of Phantasmagoria). Fish & Chips CDs will be available at the event with artwork by Aaron Biggs and will also include a bonus limited edition physical copy of my last instrumental project, Liquid Copper. So stock up on tarter sauce and come out to Division for a great night of music. Your attendance and support is greatly appreciated!
Hey Peeps,
I’ll be honest with you. The internet is such a gift and a curse for me. The benefit is it has lowered the cost of entry into the music industry (for me). The curse is that it lowered the cost of entry into the music industry (for all these other cats. lol). I also feel at times it makes connections so much more impersonal. I’d like to consider myself an analog kind of guy trying to fit into a digital age. However, some of the benefits of the internet far outweigh the costs and making a connection on the internet is great when you can actually meet in person.
My email service provider Mad Mimi not only helps me stay in contact with all the people I meet on the internet and my travels, but they also support me and my music specifically. An employee there, Susan, sends me the occasional message of encouragement. If you guys only knew what that meant to a starving artist to receive letters of encouragement perhaps you’d send more (and here I am fishing for words of encouragement/compliments).
Anyways, let me get to the point before I completely bird walk off topic. While I was on tour playing in Chicago Susan came out to the show and I had the pleasure of meeting her and her husband Nick. Nick has a podcast called the Mothpod and he invited me and A. Biggs on the pod to discuss music among other things. If the internet produced more in person meetings like this, then I would personally hug Al Gore for inventing it. Here is the Progress Report / USM interview podcast, if you would like to listen.
P.S. Thanks Susan for the great Mad Mimi customer service!

On behalf of Progress Report, I want to thank all of our supporters. It does not matter whether you donated to the Kickstarter campaign, bought a ticket to the show or purchased the album. Honestly, if you wished us well in any way, THANK YOU.
It has been a most spectacular experience thus far. Of course, we have had our ups-and-downs, but we know this is all a part of the process. The success of the March 25th party was the proof in the pudding.
Pointed thanks to Mayaeni and Lord Scrummage for owning the opening slots. I was delighted to have you all a part of the show. It would be a disservice not mention that the Scrummage camp sold 30 pre-sale tickets in the two hours right before the show (Neo WHOA). We are still breaking down the win, but you two will be a big part of the overall story when we finally get it all organized. Again, thank you.
Shout out to Tom Shea, who created the trailer above this text. It is great when old friends come through to make an experience richer.
Big thanks to Noel Jackson of Exquisite, Aaron Biggs of United States of Mind and Teia Harris of Love Publicity. If not for your pro talents, we would not look as good as we do.
I could go on and on and on with the thanks. If you think you deserve a special shout, feel free to let us know in the comments. We appreciate you all.
